Wilanów Park and Palace
The picturesque Wilanów Palace, located on the outskirts of Warsaw, recalls the last years of glory of the Commonwealth. Here you will be brought back in time to the era of triumphs of the Sarmatian king, Lion of Lechistan - John III Sobieski. The palace is the symbol of King’s glory but it is also the testimony to the most unique and captivating love affair which took place at the Polish royal court.
On the right bank of Vistula river, in Praga district, the east used to meet with the west. It used to be a true melting pot where Catholic faith, Eastern Orthodoxy, and Judaism coexisted. Today, this is a place where the city is the most authentic but also the most vulnerable. Praga has been neglected far too long but today on this rich, culturally fertile soil, the new, free and artistic spirit grows in strength.
